چکیده

Abstract Objectives Roles of Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) and Thrombospondin-2 (TSP-2) in tissue repair inflammation are well-documented, but the association their serum expressions with pathogenesis COVID-19 remains unclear. We investigate roles TSP-1 TSP-2 COVID-19. Methods 106 SARS-CoV-2 infected patients 23 healthy people were enrolled our study. divided into two groups as non-severe severe. concentrations measured an enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay, blood markers analyzed routine laboratory techniques. Results had significantly higher levels than controls. positively correlated inflammatory markers, including ESR, CRP, PCT, ferritin, biochemical parameters such ALT, AST, BUN, CK, LDH. In addition, negatively hematological LYM, EOS, HGB. Receiver operating characteristic analyses revealed that may be predicted over 189.94 ng/mL 0.70 ng/mL. Conclusions Our analysis suggests at systemic level have clinical importance for

Thrombospondin-1 and VEGF in inflammatory bowel disease

BACKGROUND AND AIM Angiogenesis is an important process in the pathogenesis of chronic inflammation. We aimed to study the angiogeneic balance in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by evaluating the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) on colonic epithelial cells, together with the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). METHODS Twen...

Differential regulation of thrombospondin-1 and thrombospondin-2 after focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Angiogenesis occurs after cerebral ischemia, and the extent of angiogenesis has been correlated with survival in stroke patients. However, postischemic angiogenesis is short-lived and may be completely terminated within a few weeks after ischemic insult. The molecular mechanism underlying the dissolution of postischemic angiogenic processes is poorly understood. Although ...
